Insurance and Fees

Clear information before you begin.

Insurance and private pay are both options. We will discuss coverage and any private-pay fees before your first session.

What To Expect

Using insurance

In network with most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and Cigna, and a participating provider in the MultiPlan network.

Coverage and client responsibility vary by plan. Please confirm your behavioral health benefits directly with your insurer.

Your insurer is the best source for details about your specific behavioral health benefits. Asking before your first session can help you understand how your plan applies. Insurance participation does not mean that every service or every amount is covered, so I do not promise coverage.

How We Work

Out-of-network and private pay

Superbills are provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your plan and is not guaranteed.

A superbill gives you documentation that you can submit to your insurer. Whether your plan reimburses you, and how much it reimburses, depends on your benefits. Please confirm those details directly with your insurer rather than assuming that reimbursement will be available.

If you plan to pay privately, I will go over fees with you before your first session. A free consultation is offered.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $100 fee.

How We Work

Know the practical details before you begin

The free consultation gives us a chance to discuss what brings you to therapy and whether my approach fits what you need. It is also a useful time to raise practical questions before scheduling your first session.

Therapy is provided by secure video to adults who are physically located in Connecticut, New York or Massachusetts during sessions. Before meeting, you will need a private place where you can speak freely, a reliable internet connection and a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone.

Clear information supports a more straightforward start. We can discuss private-pay fees before your first session, and you can confirm insurance benefits with your plan. Once those details are clear, you can focus on the work that brought you to therapy.

Can We Work Together?
