Online Therapy for Adults in Darien
The commute is long enough. Therapy does not need to add to it.
For many Darien residents, the day starts and ends on the train. Secure video therapy lets you keep a steady appointment without adding another trip to the week.

Built around a commuter's week
Darien is a shoreline town with two Metro-North stations, and a large share of working residents commute to Stamford or New York City. Long days on the train can leave little room for anything that requires another drive, another parking spot and another waiting room.
All of my sessions are by secure video, and I do not have an office in Darien. You can join from home in the early morning or evening, or from any private place in Connecticut or New York.
One important detail: sessions must happen while you are physically in Connecticut, New York or Massachusetts, in a place where you can speak freely. Because I am licensed in New York too, a closed office in Manhattan works. The train does not, on either side of the state line.

A moving train is not a private or reliable setting for therapy. Please plan to join from a quiet room.
Carrying a lot at once
Commuter households often run on tight coordination. When one piece shifts, such as a job change, a child leaving for college, a parent needing more care or a health scare, the whole system can feel it. People often keep functioning well while privately feeling stretched thin, anxious or flat.
I work with adults on life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges from the individual side, substance use and burnout. You can come with one clear concern or with several things tangled together.
I work with individuals only, not couples or families.
The part of the day that belongs to you
For people with long commutes, the hours outside work often go to logistics, family responsibilities and catching up. What gets squeezed out is usually rest, exercise, friendship and time to think. Over months or years, that squeeze can show up as anxiety, irritability, low mood or drinking a little more each evening to unwind.
Therapy can help you notice where your time and energy are going and whether that still matches what you care about. Sometimes the answer is a change in how you work. Sometimes it is a boundary at home, or permission to protect one evening a week. Small, deliberate changes often matter more than a dramatic overhaul.
If a bigger change is on your mind, such as a new job closer to home or stepping back from a demanding role, we can think it through carefully so the decision reflects your priorities rather than exhaustion.
A direct, practical approach
My style is warm and straightforward. We clarify what is happening, choose what matters most and practice responses you can use in real situations. I draw from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills and solution-focused therapy.
I bring more than 30 years in behavioral health, including leading hospital and state programs, and have been in private practice since 2014.
Getting started
I am in network with most major insurance plans and a participating provider in the MultiPlan network. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Common Questions
Questions People Ask
Can I do a session on the train?
No. A train is not private or reliable enough for therapy. Please join from a quiet room at home or a closed office in Connecticut or New York.
Do you offer early morning or evening sessions?
Availability changes over time. Ask during your free consultation, and we can look for a time that fits around your commute.
What if I travel for work?
Tell me before the session. If you will be outside Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts, we will reschedule rather than meet from another state.
