Private support in a closely connected town
Greenwich is the Connecticut town closest to New York City, and many residents work in finance, investing or other demanding fields. It can also be a place where people know one another through schools, clubs and work, which makes some people hesitant to be seen walking into a local therapist's office.
Telehealth offers a simple kind of privacy. There is no waiting room and no car parked outside a practice. You join from a private room in your own home and close the door.
I do not have an office in Greenwich. All sessions are by secure video, and you must be physically in Connecticut, New York or Massachusetts during each one.

What people often bring
Outward success does not protect anyone from anxiety, depression or the disorientation of a major change. Some people come to therapy facing retirement after a long, high-pressure career and are surprised by how unsettled they feel. Others are adjusting after a divorce or separation, supporting an aging parent or noticing that their drinking has crept up.
Some are simply tired in a way that sleep does not fix. We can look at the pattern honestly, without judgment, and decide what needs attention first.
I work with individual adults only. If you are going through a divorce, I can support you individually but do not provide couples or marriage counseling.
If you divide your week between Greenwich and an office in Manhattan, we can meet from either one, since I am licensed in both Connecticut and New York.
Retiring from a demanding career
People who have spent decades in fast, high-stakes work are often unprepared for how retirement feels. The calendar empties, the phone quiets and the sense of being needed can disappear almost overnight. Some feel relief at first and then a slow drift toward restlessness, irritability or low mood.
Others find that a partner, a household or a friendship shifts once they are home more. These changes are common, and they deserve attention rather than embarrassment.
In therapy, we look at what your work gave you, such as structure, purpose, status or connection, and how to find some of those in the next chapter. The aim is not to fill every hour but to build a life that feels like yours.
Experience you can lean on
I have more than 30 years in behavioral health. Before opening my private practice in 2014, I led mental health, psychiatric, addiction and clinical services in hospital and state systems. I hold an MPH in Health Care Management and Policy from Columbia University and an MSW from Florida State University.
My style is warm and direct. I will ask real questions and tell you what I notice. I draw from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills and solution-focused work, and I explain how each method connects to your goals.
Beginning therapy
I am in network with most major insurance plans and a participating provider in the MultiPlan network. Private pay is also an option, and we discuss fees before your first session. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
A free consultation lets you ask questions and decide whether we are a good fit. Visit Work With Me to confirm your location and request an appointment through the secure client portal.
Common Questions
Questions People Ask
How private are video sessions?
Sessions use a secure video platform, and there is no waiting room or office visit. On your end, choose a room where you will not be overheard.
Can I pay privately instead of using insurance?
Yes. Private pay is an option, and I go over fees with you before your first session. I am also in network with most major plans and with MultiPlan.
I spend part of the year away from Connecticut. Can we continue?
If you will be in New York or Massachusetts, yes, since I am licensed there as well as in Connecticut. If you will be in another state, we will plan around those weeks rather than meet from a state where I am not licensed.
