Connecticut Telehealth

Accessible therapy in Connecticut's largest city

Bridgeport is Connecticut's largest city, a diverse community on Long Island Sound with a busy harbor and a ferry across to Long Island. People here work long hours in many fields, raise families, care for relatives and often juggle more than one job.

When time and transportation are tight, getting to an office each week can be the hardest part of therapy. Secure video removes that step. You can join from home or another private place in Connecticut with a phone, tablet or computer.

I do not have an office in Bridgeport. Every session is by secure video, and you must be physically in Connecticut, New York or Massachusetts during each one.

Using your insurance

Cost is a real concern for many people. I am in network with most major insurance plans and a participating provider in the MultiPlan network. Coverage and your share of the cost depend on your plan, so it helps to call the member services number on your card and ask about outpatient behavioral health benefits.

If you prefer to pay privately or use out-of-network benefits, we can discuss fees before your first session, and superbills are available for possible reimbursement. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $100 fee.

Coverage is never promised. Confirming your benefits before the first session avoids surprises.

Concerns I help with

I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, relationship challenges from the individual side, life transitions and substance use. Before I opened my private practice in 2014, I spent years leading mental health, psychiatric and addiction services in hospital and state behavioral health systems.

That background means I am comfortable with substance use and with complicated situations. If you are thinking about cutting back on alcohol or another substance, we can talk about it honestly and without judgment, at your pace. If you drink heavily every day, please speak with a physician before stopping suddenly.

People of every background, identity and culture are welcome. Sessions are in English.

Stress that comes from many directions

For many people, stress is not one problem but several at once: money, work hours, family responsibilities, health and relationships all pressing at the same time. It is hard to think clearly when everything feels urgent.

In therapy, we slow the picture down and decide what deserves attention first. DBT skills can help when emotions run high and you need to get through a hard moment without making it worse. Solution-focused questions help us notice what is already working, even a little, and build from there.

You do not need to have everything sorted before you reach out. Many people start therapy precisely because they cannot sort it on their own anymore.

How to begin

My style is warm and direct. I draw from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills and solution-focused therapy, and I explain what we are doing and why.

Common Questions

Questions People Ask

Can I do therapy from my phone?

Yes. A phone with a camera and microphone works, along with a reliable connection and a private place to talk.

How do I know if my insurance covers therapy with you?

I am in network with most major plans and with MultiPlan. Call the number on your insurance card, ask about outpatient behavioral health benefits and confirm your cost before the first session.

Do you offer sessions in Spanish?

No. Sessions are in English. If you prefer therapy in another language, a directory such as Psychology Today lets you search by language.
