Therapy that fits a working week
Norwalk is a working city on Long Island Sound, built around the Norwalk River and its harbor, with neighborhoods that range from busy downtown streets to quiet residential blocks. Many residents work in the city, commute along the shoreline to Stamford or beyond, or juggle more than one role at once.
When the week is already full, therapy has to fit into it or it tends not to happen. Secure video removes the drive and the waiting room. You can meet from home on a lunch break, from a private room after work or from any quiet place in Connecticut.
I do not have an office in Norwalk. Every session is by secure video, and you need to be physically in Connecticut, New York or Massachusetts during each one.

Concerns I often help with
Some people reach out because stress has turned into something more persistent: trouble sleeping, irritability, a sense that they are always behind. Others notice a lower, flatter mood that has lasted longer than a bad week. Some are questioning their relationship with alcohol or another substance and want an honest, nonjudgmental conversation about it.
I also work with relationship challenges from the individual side. If a pattern with a partner, parent or coworker keeps repeating, we can look at your part of it and what you want to do differently. I see individuals only and do not provide couples therapy.
My background includes years leading mental health, psychiatric and addiction services in hospital and state systems, so I am comfortable with complicated situations and do not need you to arrive with a tidy story.
You do not need a clear goal before you begin. We can sort out what matters most together.
When low mood lingers
Depression does not always look like sadness. It can show up as trouble getting started, losing interest in things that used to matter, pulling away from people or feeling that everything takes more effort than it should. Many people keep working and meeting obligations while privately running on very little.
In therapy, we look at the connection among your thoughts, your actions and your mood, and we choose small, realistic steps that match your current energy. The goal is movement, not a sudden transformation. I am not opposed to medication, and therapy can work alongside it if a physician or psychiatric provider has recommended it.
If you ever have thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 right away, or call 911 in an emergency. This site is not monitored for emergencies.
How I work
My style is warm, direct and collaborative. I listen closely, ask honest questions and help connect insight to action. I draw from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills and solution-focused therapy, choosing methods that fit your goals rather than following one script.
I have been in private practice since 2014 and bring more than 30 years in behavioral health to the work. I am not opposed to medication. If it is part of your care through another provider, therapy can work alongside it.
Beginning from Norwalk
I am in network with most major insurance plans and a participating provider in the MultiPlan network. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and private-pay fees are discussed before the first session.

Common Questions
Questions People Ask
Can I meet during a work break in Norwalk?
Yes, as long as you have a private place where you can speak freely for the whole session and you are in Connecticut. Many people use a closed office, a parked car or a quiet room at home.
Do you help with drinking or substance use?
Yes. I have a long background in addiction services and use Motivational Interviewing to explore change at your pace. If you drink heavily every day, talk with a physician before stopping suddenly, because withdrawal can be medically dangerous.
Is telehealth as private as an office?
Sessions use a secure video platform. Privacy on your end depends on where you join, so choose a space where you will not be overheard. Headphones help.
